Duration: Half day
All staff should be adequately trained in fire safety awareness and this half-day course is suitable for all levels. Providing vital understanding of what to do in the event of a fire at work, the course covers how to reduce fire risks, deal with fires appropriate and escape safely.
What to expect:
By the end of the course delegates will have an understanding of:
- The main elements of a fire risk and common causes of workplace fires
- The different classes of fire and how smoke and fire spreads through a building
- The types of portable fire extinguishers and their use in emergencies
- The requirements of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and its application in their working environment.
Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will be provided with a Parallel Training certificate as proof of qualification.
