Elecrtical Safety Awareness is a half-day training course aimed any person who needs to carry out electrical tasks from the simple to the more complex and needs to be fully aware of electrical dangers and how to work safely
Course content
The course is designed to ensure that both employers and employees understand the electrical hazards in the workplace and are able to implement the necessary controls that need to be put in place to keep all personnel safe. The course includes the following:
- Basic electrical principles
- The dangers of electricity
- Safe working practices (Isolation & Live Working)
- Protection from electric shock (Earthing, RCD’s)
- Excess current protection (Circuit breakers, fuses)
- Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
- Inspecting & checking electrical equipment for safety

Examination – theory check of understanding
Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will be provided with a Parallel Training certificate as proof of qualification.
